Following another recent incident of street violence in Portland, Oregon, Indiana Congressman Jim Banks has issued a call for the “anti-fascist” group Antifa to officially be labeled a “domestic terror organization” in the United States.
In case you missed it, independent journalist Andy Ngo was brutally assaulted by far-left, mask-wearing Rose City Antifa thugs simply for existing in Portland as a conservative.
Ngo reportedly had a “milkshake” thrown at him that contained quick-drying cement, which resulted in him having to be rushed to the hospital and treated for brain bleed.
Several other conservatives were also attacked by Antifa in Portland, including two individuals who were assaulted with metal poles and maced. One of them was left with severe gashes on his skull that required 25 stitches.
Rose City Antifa, the group responsible for these acts of extreme violence, also made threats to carry out “acid attacks” against conservatives at the recent free speech rally in Washington, D.C. – because nothing says “anti-fascist” like violently persecuting your political opponents and trying to silence them from exercising their right to free speech.
“In light of events this weekend in Portland, Oregon, I call on @POTUS, #TheJusticeDept, & @FBI to investigate #Antifa & declare them a domestic terrorist organization,” Rep. Banks tweeted in response to these developments.
“Their avowal of violence & routine intimidation, harassment, & assault of Americans has no place in our country,” he added.

Some federal officials have already taken notice of Antifa’s routine violent behavior, including the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in New Jersey, which back in 2017 declared Antifa to be a domestic terrorist organization.
But more needs to be done at all levels of government to deal with this societal scourge, which threatens not only the free speech rights of conservative Americans, but also their right to peaceably assemble in American public spaces without having to worry about becoming victims of Antifa violence.
“In the past year, Antifa groups have become active across the United States, employing a variety of methods to disrupt demonstrations,” reads the advisory issued by DHS in New Jersey following a spate of Antifa violence that occurred in the aftermath of Donald Trump being elected president in 2016.
Meanwhile, Democratic National Committee chairman Keith Ellison has quietly deleted a tweet he shared to his Twitter account back in January 2018 that praised Antifa.
Ellison, as you may recall, had tweeted a picture of himself proudly holding up a book entitled, Antifa: The Anti-Fascist Handbook by Mark Bray, which is filled with all sorts of anti-white propaganda. The book also advocates for the establishment of “kill zones” to exterminate conservatives for failing to meet the requirements of being “progressive.”
Just like Black Lives Matter, the Muslim Brotherhood, and other radical leftist groups that openly advocate for violence in order to get their way, Antifa needs to be classified as exactly what it is: a domestic terrorist group that hates free speech and utilizes violence as a means to intimidate and silence its opponents.
“Antifa are the Democrats’ storm troopers,” declared one commenter at The Gateway Pundit in response to this news. “They consider conservatives to be subhuman and deserving of attack. It’s 1930s Germany all over again – history repeating itself.”
Another commenter echoed this sentiment, stating that Antifa “is no different than the brownshirts in (Nazi) Germany.”
