An angry mob of Black Lives Matter (BLM) terrorists bore through Rochester, N.Y., the other day, trapping shoppers inside a Wegmans grocery store and barring them from bringing food home to their families.
The violent horde says it was honoring the life of 41-year-old Daniel Prud, a black man who one year prior died after taking PCP, stripping off his clothes, and parading through the streets of Rochester naked before ultimately being arrested for indecent exposure and illicit behavior.
Because Prud was behaving belligerently and spitting at the police, arresting officers had no choice but to put a spit hood over his head. They also had to hold Prud down on the pavement for two minutes and fifteen seconds in order to subdue him, during which time he temporarily stopped breathing.
Prud was quickly administered CPR on the scene but later died of complications from asphyxia after being taken off life support.
Because Prud was clearly in the wrong, his own illicit behavior prompting his early death, a grand jury decided not to prosecute the officers involved in the confrontation. Prud’s BLM groupies, however, think they know better, blaming “systemic racism” on Prud’s death.
To let everyone know how they feel, Prud’s supporters marched through the streets of Rochester screaming and shouting. They also took over the Wegmans parking lot and blocked all the entrances to the store, preventing shoppers from entering and leaving the premises.
All of the shoppers who were trapped inside the building at the time eventually found an escape through a side door. However, due to the volatile nature of the situation, the store remains closed until further notice.
Reports indicate that the mob was about 200 comrades strong at its peak. Multiple streets had to be shut down to accommodate their march, which end up in the Wegmans parking lot where they drew on the ground with chalk while singing Michael Jackson’s “They Don’t Care About Us” hit.
“We have a long walk today,” the group’s organizer told ABC 13 WHAM reporter Michael Schwartz, adding that “we’re shutting s*** down.”
The entire intersection at East & Alexander, a busy part of town, was shut down by the mob, which demanded that everyone within ear shot say the name Daniel Prud over and over again to show their “solidarity” for the cause.
Prud’s demise was similar to that of George Floyd who, despite what the media tried to claim, was also tripped up on drugs at the time of his arrest.
In both cases, the suspects were belligerent and “on” something, which contributed to their deaths. The BLM mobs would rather not deal with the facts, though, having instead reduced the narrative to “racism.”
“I’m seeing frustrated customers inside trying to get home with groceries,” reported Schwartz about what he witnessed at the Wegmans store. “Store remains closed down as more than 100 have shut it down.”
The goal of the march was simply to get innocent white people to kowtow to the demands of the crowd, which included saying Prud’s name and admitting that “systemic racism” is a real thing and not just some made-up Marxism term aimed at overthrowing our constitutional republic.
“Hey Democrats: that’s fascism,” wrote one PJ Media commenter about how “anti-fascists” are actually the true fascists.
“Detaining people against their will is a serious felony and violates their civil rights,” wrote another about BLM’s illegal actions at Wegmans. “This is why the FBI gets involved in kidnappings.”
